Conor Glueck was appointed Fund Analyst on the 25th of September 2017. Conor’s previous experience varies across sectors. He has worked in fields such as asset management, business development and economic development and co-operation. Prior to his appointment at HALFI, Conor completed an internship at Global Systematic Investors (GSI), an asset-management firm and provided operational support to the fund managers. He was responsible for identifying sections of the portfolio requiring re-balancing and providing the orders necessary to fulfil the re-balancing process. He was also responsible for researching key drivers and indicators of price volatility relating to stocks held in the portfolio. Prior to working at GCI, Conor completed an internship at Health Partners International (HPI), a private health development firm based in Lewes, UK. He was responsible for researching and outlining business opportunities for HPI, scouting funding opportunities, and identifying and documenting investment trends in the public and private health development sectors across Africa and Asia. Before his internship at HPI, Conor completed a volunteer program at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Zimbabwe. He was responsible for the statistical analysis of economic benefits due to private-public extension systems via the collection and compilation of data into infographics.

Conor’s academic background is in economics, with a focus on quantitative economics. He graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics (BA) in 2017.
